As with all the home learning tasks, this Christmas home learning is meant to be done alongside an adult. Children should do the work themselves, but to get the best out of it an adult can chip in to make the learning truly meaningful. The other advantage of this is that parents get to know exactly where their child is at in their learning and what they need to work on. It's proven that child working alongside an adult learn more than one working on their own. 5-10 minutes a day working with your child will make a huge difference to them in the long run.
This week's tasks:
Mr Brooks' English Group: Macbeth comprehension - two sets of questions from square, circle or triangle question sets.
Mrs Morris & Miss Day's English Groups: Christmas comprehensions.
Mr Brooks' Maths Group: Presenting data; two sets of questions from A, B or C.
Miss Day's Maths Group: Christmas word problems
Mrs Morris' Maths Group: Area & perimeter
As ever, home learning is due back on the Wednesday. Please ensure it's handed in on time. If you have trouble, speak to your teacher. People who have trouble handing home learning in will be assisted in the lunchtime homework club!
