But what does it actually feel like to fall in love? You don't really fall in love until your teenage years. Many people first fall in love when they're in their later teens. So does that mean that you can't know what it's like to fall in love until you're that old?
Well of course not. You can read about it. There are loads of books where characters fall in love and writers describe what they feel like. We're looking at extracts from a couple of them in assembly this week.
Here's one from Gregory's Girl:
"I'm in love."
"Since when?" Steve said.
"Since this morning," said Gregory. "I can't eat. I probably won't sleep a wink tonight. When I think about it I feel dizzy..." He sighed, smiling. "It's wonderful..."
"Sounds more like indigestion to me," said Steve.
"She's got lovely long hair, she always looks really clean and fresh and she smells, mmm..." He was grinning now with a kind of helpless idiocy. "Gorgeous... Even if you just pass her in the corridor. And she's got teeth, lovely teeth, lovely white, white teeth."
